Reducing costs is a very effective way of improving your cash flow - better than higher sales or increasing your price. This workshop will cover how to uncover problems of cost and inefficiency and will review some tools to solve them. Topics that will be covered are:

  • 5 Useful Concepts and Principles in managing your business
  • How to look for an define important operational weaknesses
  • Examples or typical operational problems and tools to fix them
  • How to best measure and improve customer satisfaction

Speakers:

John Harmon is a SCORE volunteer. He is Managing Director of Adulant Consulting Services which advises small and medium size businesses on strategies for growth and operating excellence. John has held senior leadership and executive positions in sales, marketing, quality management, strategic planning, and new business development at Eastman Kodak, The Gartner Group and Pitney Bowes.

Andy Jawlik is a SCORE volunteer. He is Managing Director at Jawlik and Associates, LLC which provides consulting and training in process and quality improvement. He is a Lean Six Sigma black belt, and he draws on experience from IBM as a process executive. He is currently writing a book, Statistics from A to Z - Confusing Concepts Made Clear.
