Our Gainesville/Alachua community is making a huge difference in the lives of children in rural Cambodia. For every 1,000 babies born in Cambodia, 95 die in their first year - one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world. One in every eight Cambodian children dies between birth and age 5. Those who survive to school age have limited educational opportunities, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty, disease and death.

Our Gainesville/Alachua community, together with the Rotary Club of Gainesville, is changing the lives of thousands of Cambodian children and their families. Clean water and sanitation, nutrition programs, and schools with over 3,500 students are cultivating healthy, educated young people who now have a hopeful future. And Sustainable Cambodia's unique model is much more than "aid" - it empowers the villager families through sustainable economic development, education and training.

How can you help?

Join us on April 26, 2013 for the Cultivating Hope Event at Rembert Farms. This exciting event will feature some of the brightest students at our Sustainable Cambodia schools. There will be video case studies and using Skype, you'll be able to talk to our students live from Cambodia.

Donate to our silent auction. Silent auction donors not only help cultivate hope for Cambodian children, but also benefit from exposure to those who attend the event. Donors will be listed on the event program, social media sites and the merchandise you give will be on display through the event.

Be a Sponsor for the event. Sponsors will receive special recognition before, during and after the event along with a listing on the event program and on our social media sites. If you are interesting in learning more about this event, purchase tickets or become a sponsor/auction donor please contact Felicia Hines at felicia@sustainablecambodia.org or call 352.371.2075
