You are invited to come and learn about the prevalence and issues surround gambling (a hidden addiction) in the Latinx Community. Through this event you will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of engaging speakers on ways to raise awareness and offer solutions related to problem gambling in our community.

This event is packed with knowledgeable and engaging speakers who will lead a few sessions in the morning before breaking for lunch around noon. The sessions will pick up promptly after lunch followed by a table discussion and open forum. There will also be exhibitor tables open from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM for those looking for additional resources and services available in our community.

Our closing reception will open up shortly after 4:00 PM to offer some light bites and entertainment while giving each of our attendees the opportunity to network and connect with others in the community.

Problem Gambling Stats You Need to Know:

  • 25.9% of Latinx frequent gamblers in Illinois have a gambling problem, more than double the White/Black/African American population
  • 1 in 5 individuals with a problem gambling attempt suicide, the highest rate amount addictive disorders.
  • Between July 2021 and June 2022, people in Cicero spent $380M on video gaming terminals.
