The 16 hours course (presented online over 4 half-days) is designed for the practicing consultant and those who are aspiring to become Registered Waterproofing Consultants. The course starts with a review of differences among roofing, dampproofing, and waterproofing.

Presenters

Edward (Ted) Sheridan, P.Eng., RRC, RWC REWC, RBEC - Ted Sheridan is a professional engineer practising in Ottawa, Ontario.  He is president of Fishburn Sheridan & Associates Ltd., an Ottawa-based engineering firm with 5 offices across eastern Canada, in roofing, building envelope and structural work.  He is a 1983 graduate of the Civil Engineering program at the University of Waterloo, and was recognized as an RCI Registered Roof Consultant in 1992.  He is also an IIBEC accredited Registered Exterior Wall Consultant, Registered Waterproofing Consultant, and Registered Building Envelope Consultant.  He is the current President of IIBEC. Ted has been involved with investigations, assessments, design and field review in over 3,000 roof and building envelope related projects across Canada and in the U.S.  He has lectured on a wide array subjects in roofing technology and building envelope engineering, has published several roof-related articles, and regularly provides technical support to building forensic and legal teams.

Stephanie Robinson, P.Eng. - Stephanie is the Director of Building Sciences, Eastern Canada for WSP Canada Inc. She is based in Ottawa, Ontario and has over 14 years’ experience in investigation, design, contract administration and construction review of the building enclosure components for new and existing construction in both Canada and the United States. Stephanie is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario and a Level 2 Certified Thermographer. She serves on the Board of Directors for the IIBEC Quebec Ontario Chapter.

Paul Buccellato, F-IIBEC, RWC, REWC, FASTM, AIA of Henshell & Buccellato, Consulting Architects. 

Paul Buccellato is a Registered Architect in four states and is board certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is a Registered Waterproofing Consultant and Registered Exterior Wall Consultant with IIBEC. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the New Jersey Society of Architects, ASTM International (Committees D08 Roofing & Waterproofing [Co-Chairman Subcommittee D08.20 Roofing Membrane Systems], C15 Masonry Units, and C-24), Construction Specifications Institute, and the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants. He received ASTM’s Award of Merit in 2007 “for outstanding leadership, distinguished service, and personal dedication in developing and promoting voluntary standards” and was afforded the honorary title of Fellow. In 2018 he was elevated to Fellow at IIBEC. Mr. Buccellato has authored several technical papers on waterproofing and roofing, and four ASTM standards on roofing. He wrote a column on roof design for The Roofing Specifier and is a co-author of an NCARB monograph on built-up roofing. He has presented papers related to waterproofing and roofing for IIBEC and ASTM.

Cancellation Policy

  • Should you wish to cancel your registration, refunds will be issued up to two weeks prior to the course and a $25 administrative fee will apply.  After that time, no refunds will be permitted.  "No Shows" will not receive a refund, however, substitutions are permitted.
  • Should IIBEC Quebec Ontario Chapter cancel the course, we will notify you before January 12th and a full refund will be issued.

IIBEC Quebec Ontario Chapter reserves the right to cancel a webinar at any time. Notification is via email to the email address provided with registration.
