This award will be presented to Kenneth Feinberg, who has served the public for decades by administering compensation funds for victims and survivors of the nation’s most devastating tragedies, including 9/11, the BP oil spill, and the Boston Marathon bombing.
Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP: Pro Bono Service Award
Thanks to hundreds of hours of pro bono support from the firm, together Schulte and the Bazelon Center have made significant progress towards ensuring that Alabama schools provide effective services to students with disabilities, and that the rights of children with disabilities here in the District are protected.
Senator Patty Murray: Excellence in Advocacy Award
Senator Murray will receive this award to recognize her dedicated efforts to protect and advance the rights of people with mental disabilities in many areas, including health care reform, passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
Robert Bernstein, Ph.D.: Excellence in Leadership Award
Dr. Bernstein recently retired from his position as President and CEO of the Bazelon Center, and we are excited to honor his 19 years of unwavering leadership.
