Central Maine Tech Night – CGI Open House

Thursday, February 9 from 5-7 PM you will have an opportunity to get out of the house and get inspired by speakers from various technology backgrounds.

Imagine this: an evening out of the cold that offers valuable information and a truly engaging social experience with colleagues and peers.

At Central Maine Tech Night you can expect to connect with like-minded individuals that share a passion for learning, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

This month CGI will be holding an open house on the first floor of the Hathaway Center in Waterville. Come and enjoy a frothy pint of beer or a tasty glass of wine and learn about CGI - who they are, what they do, and their future goals with the Waterville community.

Speaker: Andrew Thompson, Director, Wausau Domestic Solutions

Andrew is the Director of Wausau Domestic Solutions, a division of CGI. He comes from a diverse, yet far from boring, background of information technology and project management. Those who have worked with Andrew over the years describe him as being “the best project manager” they’ve ever worked with.

CGI delivers IT solutions to businesses with complex technology needs across the globe. Their purpose is to identify these needs and design innovative solutions and digital platforms that will foster long-term company growth for their clients.

In addition to CGI, Andrew is the Founder and Owner of Elevate Groups, LLC where he collaborates with companies in areas of business and sales strategy, entrepreneurship, technology, leadership, teamwork, and business negotiations. In 2007 he founded a retail company called JAR Products that sells a line of hot sauces of which he states was “started because we make our own hot sauce and it’s frankly better than anything in stores.”
