Standards Webcast:  3G SDI Interfaces

Tuesday, 10 September 2013

17:00 UTC /10:00 AM Pacific/1:00 PM Eastern)

Since its arrival in 2006, the latest generation of the Serial Digital Interface, 3Gb/s SDI, or "3G", has achieved wide-spread adoption, rapidly becoming the real-time streaming media interface of choice. But what exactly is 3G SDI and how can it be used to create a reliable real-time streaming infrastructure?

Webcast participants will learn about the latest developments in “3G” standardization and technology. They will also hear practical advice on the installation and operation of reliable 3Gb/s SDI infrastructure using both copper and optical fiber interfaces. Finally, webcast guests will accompany the speaker as he explores emerging production requirements and how the core 3Gb/s broadcast infrastructure can evolve to accommodate future needs.
