We will be holding the next Upstate Professional Planners Meeting of 2013 on Thursday, June 20th from 9:30am-11:30am with a light breakfast at Greer City Hall.
Following up on the first meeting about the connections between planning and economic development, the theme of this meeting is the Request for Information (RFI) process and we will have four speakers: Brooke Ferguson from Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) will speak about site certification, Jim Hill from GADC will speak about RFIs from a county perspective, Elizabeth Feather with Upstate SC Alliance will speak about the RFI process from a regional perspective, Carol Andersen with SC ACOG will speak about the InfoMentum service, and a site selection consultant will speak about the site selection process. Each presenter will speak for about 20 minutes. We will follow up with a discussion for which we have the goal of coming up with solutions for streamlining the RFI process.
Feel free to invite other planners from within your organization or others who you work with across the Upstate as we are still trying to build a comprehensive list from across the region.
We look forward to seeing you on June 20th as we continue building the Upstate Planners Group.
