Hey potential LYOers,

At this 2014 Gathering, we have lots planned for you to do.  We have fun Action Tracks, Speakers, and NightLife!  The theme this year is "Broken and Loved."  The theme verse is Romans 8:38-39 which reminds us that nothing can separate us from God.  The Gathering will show how anyone that is broken is still loved, no matter what.  I can't wait to see all of you there ready to grow closer to God, meet new people and have the time of their lives.

                                                                                                      Blessings,

Bishop Mark Narum, Synod BishopBishop Narum

Rev. Mark Narum serves as Bishop of the Western North Dakota Synod.  He cares deeply about helping Lutherans in our synod engage in God’s mission of sharing Christ’s love with our communities, through service, words, and actions.  Mark will preach at our opening worship.

Rev. Jacob DeBoerChaplain

Rev. Jake  serves as pastor to Trinity Lutheran Church in Steele and Dawson Lutheran Church in Dawson.  He is married to Rev. Trish DeBoer, who serves Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wing, and they live happily in Steele.  Pastor Jake also serves on the Western North Dakota Synod Council and Camp of the Cross Ministries Board.  "Having 'grown up' in church, I've felt a passion for leading worship and being involved in ministry and mission, particularly family and youth ministry, and I jump at them when I can!," says Pastor Jake.  "I enjoy being able to dig into the Bible and engage our faith to connect it to life and discover the ways God is at work in our lives, using our skills, to show Christ's love to the world."

The GLUE, Worship Band
Staff from our synod’s 4 Bible Camps - Badlands Ministries, Camp of the Cross Ministries, Metigoshe Ministries and Upper Missiouri Ministries - will lead us in worship and opening music each day.
