Merrimack Valley Ringers (MVR) is pleased to present a Ringing Skills Workshop, where participants can enjoy a fun-filled day of classes, food, friends and great music.
Classes will be taught by some of MVR's enthusiastic and knowledgeable handbell artists. Participants can attend up to four classes throughout the day, with at least four different topics offered during each session. Classes include: basic ringing skills, the trouble with trebles, getting untangled-learning to weave, ring better-ring with confidence, bass bells. ensemble ringing, bell trees, stopped techniques, bell & chime maintenance, battery bells, getting over performance anxiety, and deciphering handbell notation. Our goal is to help improve ringing skills, boost performance confidence, and encourage looking at this unique instrument in new ways.
After the workshop, participants can enjoy a dinner prepared by the Wilbraham United Church. Get to know other ringers from throughout the region and share stories about your ringing experiences.
Following dinner enjoy a free concert presented by the "Always Different, Always Fun" Merrimack Valley Ringers.
