Tri State Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors presents -

"The Building Enclosure…Inside and Out"

Tri-State ASHI is excited to welcome a variety of authorities on the evolving and challenging topic of the building enclosure. The below experts will bring technical attention to the materials and systems that control air, water, and heat with a focus on applying that knowledge during the course of home
inspections.

7:30 - 8AM Check in and Breakfast

8 - 10AM Exterior Cladding - Bill Dare of Spotlight Home Inspection LLC will present on exterior cladding materials including fiber cement siding with the unique dual perspective as a certified building envelope inspector and home inspector.

10:15AM - 12:15PM HVAC - Jeff Smith of J.A. Smith Heating and Air Conditioning will bring expert technical review and discussion of concerns with heating and air conditioning systems.

12:15 - 1PM Lunch is provided - Marvin Goldstein of BISCO will provide a "Lunch & Learn" session on HUD Inspections.

1-3PM Air Barriers and Ventilation - Chris Hine of the Pennsylvania Housing Research Center will deliver an informative presentation on air sealing / air barriers and mechanical ventilation.

3:15 - 4:15PM Basement and Crawl Space - Brian Quinn of BQ Basement Systems will provide insight regarding moisture, humidity, and ventilation of below ground portions of the building enclosure.

4:30 - 5:30PM Seminar Wrap Up - Jules Falcone of Inspection Pros and current Tri-State ASHI Past President,along with Ed Urban of Urban Property Services LLC, will provide final hour wrap-up, highlighting insights and other issues relevant to the building enclosure and home inspection.
