CVR drives for Spooner House  

In recent years the members of CVR have been fortunate to have our June meeting hosted by our good friends at Hairy Dog Grrrage in Oxford. Donna and Dan pull out all the stops to provide the CVR members with a fun, social event at their fantastic shop.

We also look to this event as our opportunity to “give back” to the community through your generous food-drive donations that make their way to the good-hearted folks at Spooner House. If you haven’t read up about the Spooner House you should as you would be impressed, http://www.actspooner.org/. Their focus is not just to help people in need but to getting them back on their feet and to a self-sufficient living situation.  Spooner House has been doing great work here in Connecticut since 1979.

Our June event usually provides us with a pleasant, early summer evening. We’ll ask you to bring out your Porsche so we can beautify the Hairy Dog Grrrage parking lot and provide some “eye candy” for your fellow CVR members. They will be bringing in food trucks to provide you with a tasty meal to go along with our evening of socializing and Porsche viewing. After dinner we’ll cover the CVR business and then move on to our raffle.

Hairy Dog Grrrage  continues with their generosity by providing some great raffle prizes. This year they’ll be donating 3 alignments, 3 brake fluid flushes, and 3 $50 service certificates and you can improve your chances of winning one of these great prizes by bringing in as many food donations as you can. You see, we are going to give you a raffle ticket for EVERY item of food that you donate for the folks at Spooner House!  So, the more you donate, the better your chances to be a big winner while helping Spooner House. It sounds like a WIN WIN to me!

Pack up your Porsche with food and we look forward to seeing you at this fun social event where CVR members are provided the opportunity to help others.
