Hello Vineyard Southeast!
We hope you're making plans to attend our regional gathering at Lake Guntersville in June! This is a beautiful location in the hills of NE Alabama, and we know you're going to enjoy getting your teams to eat together, stay onsite at one of the several affordable options available, and being refreshed together in worship and ministry. Our National Director asked the Regional Leaders to focus their summer gatherings on the theme of leadership: equipping the next wave of leadership for the Vineyard movement.
We have a great line up of speakers to grow you and your team's leadership effectiveness. We also have some personal friends coming who are very gifted in bringing prophetic encouragement as well. If you look at the schedule, there's plenty of downtime for the family time at the lake, the pool or the activties around Lake Guntersville.
So, invite all your key leaders, your staff and their families to spend some time with other at Lake Guntersville. It's going to be grand!
Blessings,
Jon & Kitty Sterns

Leadership Session Speakers
We will have Steve Nicholson, who has been the senior pastor of Evanston Vineyard for many decades, as one of our keynote speakers. Steve Nicholson began ministering as a college student through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the early 1970s. After graduation, he moved to the Chicago area where he and several other twenty-something leaders founded what would become the Evanston Vineyard. Steve led the Vineyard USA’s church planting task force for over twenty years, and has trained and ministered to church leaders in India, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Turkey, Lebanon, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, Chile and several Central Asian countries as well. Steve and his wife, Cindy, live in Chicago. We know that he will have amazing things to say to us!
Reese and Mary-Margaret just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Reese serves as lead pastor at Vineyard Church of Augusta where Mary-Margaret serves as Vkids and Outreach Pastor and has for the past 11 years. Mary-Margaret serves on the National Kids Task Force and is a certified coach through Multiply Vineyard. The LeRoy's have three smart, beautiful daughters: Lily (20) sophomore at Berry College; Emma Catherine (15) and Charlotte (13).
We will also be having a very special friend to the Southeast Region, Bubba Justice, join us in speaking to our region. Bubba helped plant the Inverness Vineyard in Birmingham, Alabama since 1994. For over a decade, he has led the East Africa (now Kenya) Partnership and served as an APCL for the Southeast. He has served on the Missions Task Force representing the Southeast since 2007 and now serves on the National Board as the Treasurer. Bubba worked as a CPA for Ernst and Young, an international accounting firm, and as a financial manager for various companies for over 10 years.
And our fourth speaker will be Putty Putnam from The Vineyard Church Champaign-Urbana. Putty created a vision for a school of training to train people in power evangelism and this training school is training thousands of ordinary people to “do the stuff of the kingdom.” Putty is passionate about healing, the prophetic, power evangelism, and undoing the works of the devil in general. His heartbeat is for people to encounter the living God powerfully and burn with the flame of his presence. We are super thrilled to have Putty join us for this conference!
