Build Your Own Small Business Web Site
Local Workshop with Walter Paul & Pete Mikelson

A good website is an essential small business marketing tool. It should grab visitors' attention, pull them in, and motivate them to take the actions you want.  It also should be mobile-frieldly. How can you do this with little or no technical or marketing experience?

We'll take you step-by-step through the process of creating a multi-page site using Wix, a popular template-based service.

Please bring your own laptop or mobile-friendly device.

Cost:  $19.95

Presenter Walter Paul worked 12 years for a large multinational manufacturing corporation as Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Control Engineer and Program Manager. During this time, he also developed manufacturing-related computer software systems that managed a major semiconductor manufacturing line.  Walt spent nine years as co-owner of a small manufacturing business, and is a web designer. He's also a certified SCORE mentor.

Presenter Pete Mikelson had a 25 year career in international business publishing. His responsibilities at various times included editorial, business forecasting, international business consulting, vendor negotiations and partner sales management. Subsequently, Pete worked in executive search, insurance and formerly operated a marketing and web design business. He has experience in web design and development, and is a certified SCORE mentor.

SCORE Albuquerque helps small businesses grow from start-up through maturity by providing lifelong learning opportunities for business owners.  Clients develop their own path to small business success by accessing one-on-one mentoring, workshops, Q&A sessions, Business Owners Councils, and a national network of resources -- all at no- or low-cost.  Our team of experienced entrepreneurs, business owners, corporate executives and managers are trained, certified mentors who help clients gain clarity to take the next step. SCORE is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
