The three day PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) Workshop provides speialized training for equestrians who are interested in equine facilitated mental health and education programs. The workshop will be taught by some of the most experienced people in the field of equine facilitated mental health and learning and will give the participants a chance to see what is current in the field. The ESMHL Workshop and Practical Horsemanship Skills Test are a requirment for those seeking to obtain their Equine Specialist (E.S) Certification.

Meet your Evaluators!
Joseph P. Callan, M.S., M.S.W., LCSW
Cofounder and ongoing Clinical Director of TRAVERSE, a PATH Intl. Premeire Accredited center. He possesses a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, a Diplomate in Clincal Sexology, and is a Registered Clinical Supervisor in the state of Florida. He is a PATH Intl. Registered Instructor and has been co-leading equine facilitated psychotherapy groups with TRAVERSE for the last 20 years. Mr. Callan has ten years experence with youth in wilderness therapy and has spent over twenty-five years in the private practice of psychotherapy. He has served as an ongoing, Adjunct Professor at the School of Social Work of the Universtty of South Florida in Tampa. Mr. Callan has also served on the EFMHA and NARHA borads, and chaired the Integration Steering committe, uninitng the two groups to form PATH Intl. Joeseph Callan will be serving as the Lead Mental Health Evaluator.
Memree Stuart
PATH Intl. Certified ESMHL and Certified Lead Equine Specialist Evaluator for Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning Workshop and Practical Horsemanship Skills Test. Memree has been the Program Director of HorsePower, Inc., an equine facilitated psychotherapy program, for the past 10 years. She contributed significantly to developing curriculum for EFMHA in her capacity as chair of the EFMHA Equine Specialist Curriculum Task Force. She helped to create the content for the PATH Intl. Equine Specialist workshop, maintains and serves as faculty for the workshop. She is the current chair of the PATH Intl. Equine Specialist Certification Committee developing the criteria and testing for the Equine Specialist certification.
