Inaugural 5K Walk/Run for REZilience

Presenting Sponsor: The Pauma Band of Luiseņo Indians is our generous host for the event and the Pauma Casino will provide healthy snacks and drinks for a post-race celebration.
About the Race: ITLTRF is supporting the National Indian Justice Center and the Northern California Fire Recovery with this charity event. All funds raised from this run will be donated to support the recovery of American Indian people and communities affected by the 2017 wildfires. The needs for recovery stem from installing new sewer lines and house pads to furnishing homes and replacing tools needed for work to remaking ceremonial regalia and accessories for needed for cultural practices, such as gathering, winnowing, and hunting.
The Course: The course is located in beautiful Pauma Valley on the Pauma Indian Reservation. The Registration and Finish line are in the parking lot next to Casino Pauma's Event Pavilion. The Start is next to the Pauma Softball Field and will meander around Loop Road, follow Reservation Road to Adams Road, then extend out and back along Citracado, Adams, and Reservation Roads. For participants that want to take a less "hilly" route, a 2K will be marked at 1.5 miles to lead participants back to the Finish. The entire route winds through orange groves and the foothill of Yuima. Participants are encouraged to run, walk, or jog the course. All finishers will receive a finishing medal, t-shirt, and tote bag. Local first responders and emergency agency partners will also be in attendance to share preparedness and recovery information after the race.
