1:30-3:30 pm, MaSEA, MA Government Day 

This is our third annual MA Government Day. A wide range of Massachusetts government agencies have made presentations on issues tangential to taxes. This year Brian Lynch, MA DOR Education Specialist, will present a very special 2 hour topic, "New Developments of Doing Business in MA." Emphasis will be paid on Paid Family Medical Leave and the expanded room occupancy tax that includes short term rentals, (VRBO & AirBnB). 
Government Day is $30. No IRS CPE offered

 

4:00-5:55 pm, MASEA 2019 Annual Meeting

Hear committee reports; elect next year's directors and officers. Learn what new items have been added to the budget revenue and expense stream. It's the governance of MaSEA. Please celebrate the Society's birthday party with us!

No cost and no IRS CPE to attend and participate in the annual meeting.

6:00 pm Dinner- $50 for members, $70 for nonmembers 

6:45 pmJulia Baker, LISCW. Ms. Baker has developed a specialty in trauma care. Preparers exercise poor self care habits. The tax filing season induces stress and long work hours that have immediate and long-term impact on one's physical, emotional, and interpersonal well-being. Julia will deliver different strategies to alleivate the damage that professionals inflict upon themselves during the filing season. Join us for this fascinating session and be well for many years. (included with the cost of dinner)

CPE credits count toward fulfillment of the Continuing Professional Education requirements of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents and the Internal Revenue Service. Except education credits for state tax courses will not count toward IRS requirements under Circular 230.
