Come meet Ghilotti Bros and St Francis Electric JV; the primes awarded Job Order Contract (JOC) for Region 2. Learn more about the required work for Middle Mile Broadband Network (MMBN), an open access, state-owned high-capacity fiber lines that carry large amounts of data at higher speeds over longer distances between local networks. It will connect to a last-mile broadband infrastructure that will connect homes and businesses with local networks.

This contract has a 25% Small Business (SB) and 3% Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE)  participation goal. If you are certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), you may qualify for SB and/or DVBE certification.

Matchmaking Event

The California Black Chambers of Commerce (CBCC) in conjunction with Caltrans will be hosting a Matchmaking Event approximately one to two weeks after this event (Date and Time TBD; Look for additional information to follow.

My Business Matches (MBM) developed a software solution to streamline the process of business matchmaking and creating long-lasting connections between business.

How will Matchmaking work?

  1. CBCC provide work codes to MBM to set up the Matchmaking website and the ability to send out information.
  2. All primes and interested sub-contractors will register their business at https://mbmapp.com/event/cbcccaltrans 
  3. MBM will facilitate the virtual event. Each prime contractor will be assigned a day to set up 15-minute meetings virtually with sub-contractors they are interested in networking with.
  4. MBM will provide the post-event survey and matchmaking information that was collected.
