Tuesday, July 17, 2012: Session with Jeff James, JD
It's not unusual to deal with multiple types of leave laws for one employee situation. It can be a challenge to understand the complexity and coordination of leave entitlements, including workers' compensation, disability, Washington State family, pregnancy disability, domestic violence, and military family leaves, as well as FMLA.
Join us in this interactive session to learn from a local expert: Jeff James, shareholder at Sebris Busto James - one of Seattle's leading labor and employment law specialty firms and Amy Efroymson - Principal at HRnovations. Jeff and Amy will share tips, tools, and best practices for this challenging and complex topic.
Included in the presentation will be an overview of the applicable state and federal laws that Washington employers need to understand and be aware of, including a legal update of recent case developments. Participants will work through hypothetical scenarios and break into small groups to interact with, and learn from, their HR peers.
