 November 7, 2018
Join us for the second annual
From Poverty to Possibilities summit
Presented by United Way of Pierce County in partnership with
The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation

Dr. Michael McAfee, President & CEO of PolicyLink, whose vocation is to
achieve equity in America, will highlight the work we can collectively take on
to dismantle systematic barriers preventing Pierce County
families from moving ahead.

Last year's event brought us closer to identifying solutions to close in on the issues around the institutional barriers that keep working families from moving out of crisis and into self-sufficiency.

Building on the findings from the inaugural event, this year's summit will delve deeper into these barriers with a focus on policy implications (as they relate to employment), including access to affordable quality childcare. This is a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge, take ownership and make it a priority to create change in the systems that are standing in the way of moving people out of poverty and into more sustainable, financially stable futures.
