Spend the day with PAULA KLUTH!

The Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education is thrilled to welcome Dr. Paula Kluth to Frederick.  If you are a teacher, administrator, therapist, or family member who cares about a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder or another disabilty, you don't want to miss this dynamic presentation!

Come and learn about how we can give all students - including those with autism and other developmental disabilities - access to the literate community. Dr. Kluth will explain how to design literacy activities that are challenging and meaningful for all learners, including those who have often been assumed to be unable to benefit from the academic curriculum. Participants will learn  practical strategies for including and supporting students with disabilities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities. Ideas for enhancing skills in comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary will be highlighted. In this interactive session, participants will also experience differentiation by participating in collaborative, active, and brain-compatible learning techniques  that engage students and make learning joyful.  The session is appropriate for teachers in K-12 classrooms, as well as for school leaders, related service providers, family members, and anyone else who cares about the learning of all children, including those with ASD and other disabilities.
