2016 Water Treatment Workshop

The Water Treatment Workshop will include presentations and demonstrations.    Topics covered in the morning presentations include:

• Disinfection Data Integrity Project
• Raw Water Effects on Direct filtration
• Operational approaches to our Raw Water
• Bellingham's DAF Treatment System
• Operator Certification Rule changes
• PFOS Contaminated Groundwater Treatment

 This workshop features speakers:

• Chris McCord - WSDOH
• Bill Evans - City of Bellingham
• Anna Thelen - City of Everett
• Pierre Kwan - HDR Engineers

EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS!  - 0.6 CEUs (Water CEUs approved)

Cost is $70 per attendee for individual or utility members of AWWA or WEF  - $90 after Wednesday October 12th

$95 per attendee for non-members of AWWA or WEF - $115 after Wednesday October 12th

Fee includes lunch and refreshments

Small System Operators and Student Scholarships - To encourage participation from small utilities (less than 500 connections) and from college, university and technical program students, the Northwest Washington Subsection will pay workshop registration fees for 2 operators from small utilities and any student.  To be eligible for a small systems scholarship please register and pay for the workshop and on the registration form indicate the number of connections for your utility.  If your registration is one of the first two received, your registration fee will be refunded following completion of the workshop.  First Come - First Served.  

To be eligible for a student scholarship please list your institution, click "pay by check" and phone or email the contact in the upper left column for further information.

Cancellation Policy - If a registrant is unable to attend the event and a substitute within the organization can attend, please contact Jeff Lundt at jeff.lundt@kingcounty.gov to update information.  If unable to attend or send a substitute contact the above at least one week before the event for a refund (minus a $10 processing fee).  Refunds after that time will not be given.

If the workshop is cancelled due to lack of registration or another reason, full refunds will be provided.
