Student Registration

The York County Science and Engineering Fair provides an opportunity for students in participating schools to engage in scientific inquiry.  The fair consists of several events:

Project Setup - Students bring their display board, logbook and other supporting materials along with the Project Certification Form and Project Participation Form (available on www.ycsef.org) to the Penn State York Gym.  Students do not need to be present but it is advisable in case issues arise.  Project setup takes place on Saturday 3/8, from 9 AM - 12 noon.

1st Day Judging - Students will be interviewed about their projects in front of their boards.  Schools will transport students to the fair.  Interviews will begin about 10:45 AM and continue through 2 PM.  Students should bring something to work on quietly as well as pack a lunch.  Judging takes place on Monday, 3/10. 

2nd Day Judging - Students who receive 1st place awards are invited back for Grand Champion Judging.  Schools will be notified on the afternoon of 3/10 which students should return.  A lunch will be provided for students on this day only.

Awards Ceremony - All students and their parents are invited to attend the cermony taking place at the Pullo Center.  An open house for viewing all of the projects will begin at the gym at 5:30 PM.  We request that students attend the open house.  The ceremony begins at 7 PM.  Please note that we will be giving out speical awards as well as place awards.  Students do not need to earn a 1st place award to receive a special award. Tickets are not needed to attend the awards ceremony.
