NIH Program Leader Campus Visit: High-Risk, High-Reward Research Programs
Dr. Ravi Basavappa will present an overview of the Early Independence, New Innovator, Pioneer, and Transformative Research Awards. These awards are part of the NIH Common Fund's High-Risk, High-Reward Programs, which support exceptionally creative scientists pursuing unusually innovative and impactful research projects.
Dr. Ethan Garner, John L. Loeb Associate Professor of the Natural Sciences, will join Dr. Basavappa to share his experience as a recipient of the NIH New Innovator Award.
