Understanding the Tools and Techniques in Estate Planning That Will Help Generate More Bequests!

 In this session, participants will learn about the differences between Wills and Living Trusts and why donor’s pick one particular strategy over the other.  Participants will learn about the FIVE most important documents in estate planning—so that they can talk more easily with key donors who are updating their estate plan, or creating one for the first time.  Participants will receive electronic copies of THREE important collaterals that can be branded for their NPO use.  These collaterals include:  An Estate Planning Guide, Estate Inventory Form, and Final Wishes Booklet which can be marketed and given to interested donors and prospects.

Presenter Bio:
Gene Christian, Charitable Estate Planning Northwest 

Gene has 26 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations, primarily in the western United States. He is considered one of the region’s foremost authorities in the fields of planned giving and advancement. He writes regularly for regional and national publications and speaks in conference settings all over the country. He has been quoted in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and has been asked to testify before the Oregon state legislature on matters involving charitable planning. He is seasoned, and has been successful, in virtually every aspect of the development profession. He conducts visioning and strategic planning sessions for the organizations he serves, provides internal program audits, feasibility and campaign planning assistance, multi-faceted marketing plan development, board presentations, and recruitment services.
