Fellowship, Food & Conversations for Men

The men of Holy Cross and the community are invited to an evening of fellowship, food, and conversation on January 27 from 6 - 8:30 pm as we look at the theme “Values... keeping us real & relevant” We encourage you to bring your appetite not only for dinner but also for a rich discussion.

Why are values essential? Our values inform our thoughts, words, and actions. Our values are important because they help us grow and develop. They help us create the future we want to experience. When we use our values to make decisions, we make a deliberate choice to focus on what is important to us and those we love.

Individual Values reflect how you show up in your life and your specific needs - the principles you live by and what you consider fundamental for your self-interest. These include: enthusiasm, creativity, humility, and personal fulfillment.

Relationship Values reflect how you relate to other people in your life, be they friends, family, or colleagues in your organization. These include: openness, trust, generosity, and caring.

Organizational Values reflect how your organization shows up and operates in the world. These include: financial growth, teamwork, productivity and strategic alliances.

 

Societal values reflect how you or your organization relates to society. These include: future generations, environmental awareness, ecology, and sustainability.

As we consider our MP3 theme for 2020, “Our Journey from Scarcity to Abundant Living,” please join us for a deeper conversation about why values matter starting at 6 pm in the fellowship area. We will serve dinner by 6:45 pm and will wrap up the evening by 8:30 pm. You are welcome to invite other men who are friends and/or colleagues.

Also, please consider joining us for these future MP3 events to enjoy each other’s company, share a meal, be uplifted with live music and, reflect upon some relevant themes and what they might look like as we weave them into the fabric of our life.
