Course Description:

An explanation, on how low-emissivity (low-e) glass manages energy from different parts of the solar spectrum to control the transmission of heat and light into buildings, which will:

• Provide discussion of coating processes of "solar control" and "passive"
  low-e glasses
   
• Examine the impact of coatings on glass performance and the energy efficiency
  of buildings
   
• Review common performance measures and "spectrally selective" glazings
