REVVING THE ENGINE
TO ADVANCE WOMEN IN
SCIENCE AND LEADERSHIP

MARCH 28, 2018
OHIO AEROSPACE INSTITUTE
CLEVELAND, OH

The month of March is when the world celebrates Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.  For nearly 100 years, pioneering women have worked for many causes, including the right to vote, allowing women to serve on juries, work/life balance, pay equity, employment for women veterans, workplace flexibility, healthcare issues, diversity, and more.

At NASA Glenn Research Center, thirty women signed a charter to establish a Business & Professional Women’s Club in March 1968.  Fifty years later, the NASA Glenn Chapter of BPW is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with the Ohio Aerospace Institute -- a day of revving, revitalization and reflection that will showcase trailblazing leaders and their advancements in the arenas of industry, education and space exploration.

Dr. Janet Kavandi, Director, NASA Glenn Research Center and NASA Astronaut-Retired, will keynote the event.  Morning sessions will feature presentations, educational sessions and a power panel of professionals who have worked across the globe in nearly every industry.

The afternoon is dedicated to those who have worked to the top of their profession in areas of science, technology, education, government/nonprofit advocacy, and private sector positions.  The program will feature networking opportunities, meetings and insight with some of the most intelligent, sophisticated and enjoyable people on the planet.  Registration is limited to 150.
