Demystifying the health care maze

Taking care of a vulnerable population often means you come up against the complications of our health care system. If the person you're helping doesn't have adequate health insurance or a permanent medical home, it can be difficult for them to access the health care that they need.

Let us help you ... with the help of our valuable members and partners, we want to start demystifying the often-confusing health care maze and provide better access to health care for all.

We invite you to attend our Demystifying The Health Care Maze panel discussion at Tri-County Health Department on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 10am to 12pm. This is a free membership & community event with a panel discussion focused on how you can help our vulnerable population get the health care they need. Topics we'll be discussing include:

  • What insurance options are available (including the health exchange, Medicaid, Medicare & CHP+)?
  • How easy is it to find a medical home (with or without insurance)?
  • When should the ER be used vs urgent care or a primary care provider?
  • How can we take a more active role in our health care?
  • What role do patient navigators play?
  • What other assistance is available?

If you are trying to help someone with inadequate health insurance, come and listen to the discussion then ask your questions to our experts.

Registration is free - just click on the Register Now button below. We look forward to seeing you!
