Magical Evening of Literacy - Atlanta 

A Magical Evening of Literacy brings together corporate and community leaders, key stakeholders in education and friends in support of Malcolm Mitchell and his Read With Malcolm literacy programs.  

 Malcolm Mitchell will share more about his experiences and vision to change the face of youth literacy. The event will feature a dynamic conversation about the state of literacy in our community and inspirational stories from educators about young readers. Funds raised at this dinner will enable Share the Magic Foundation to pursue its mission to inspire young and striving readers by introducing book ownership and bringing Read With Malcolm literacy programs to students in Title I schools and under-resourced communities. 

The Foundation’s goal is for 90% of students served by Read With Malcolm literacy programs to improve grade level expectations in reading and writing. With an alarming 65% of 3^rd graders in Georgia not reading proficiently, we have our work cut out for us.  As Malcolm says, "through reading, you can achieve anything."
