Jones, 
Pollution Prevention Specialist, Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District. Water quality professionals play a key role in helping wastewater treatment plants meet chloride reduction goals, and local companies have been important partners in MMSD’s salt reduction efforts. This session will include an overview of the chloride issue, options for facilities to reduce their salt use, and case studies from facilities that have successfully reduced salt.

11:00 am – Noon      Review of WI Plumbing Equipment presented by
Lance Fitzgerald, Director with Culligan International. 
Attendees will receive an overview WI Plumbing chapters 220300 and 220800, including summaries of studies that generated changes on background bacteria and its effect on plumbing supplies, plus an overview of the disinfection of water treatment equipment referenced by the WQA booklet for disinfection of water treatment equipment.

12:30 pm – 3:30 pm  WQA Certification Exams
