Coco Brown, the COO at Taos Management and Angel investor with Golden Seeds will be discussing funding strategies for mid-career entrepreneurs.

Pitch Practice is a time for pre-selected women to present their startup and get some thoughtful insight from the seasoned women in the audience.  This is a supportive, insightful process in helping each other be successful entrepreneurs.

Bio: Coco Brown - President & Chief Operating Officer

Coco joined Taos in 1997 and is the company's President and Chief Operating Officer. Coco has been a key contributor to the evolution of the business and the development of Taos' three primary lines of business: Managed Services, Project and Advisory Services, and Interim Services. During her tenure with Taos, she has helped ensure tremendous growth and diversity in the business, resulting in over 8000 engagements with over 1200 companies. Today, Taos’ national operation of 350 employees is a product and services business in great demand.

Coco is also a leader in the IT community of the Bay Area in general. She leads quarterly Women Leadership Events covering career and technology interests as well as social interests, and actively engages with well over 50 VPs of IT and CIOs every year. The Business Journal recognized her as one of the Silicon Valley’s top 100 Women of Influence for 2010.

Prior to joining Taos, Coco held a variety of individual contributor and management roles in companies including Wachovia Bank Card Services, Junten Incorportated, and NetFRAME. In these companies, her roles focused on ensuring the implementation and scalability of effective organizational structures and teams. Just prior to arriving in the Silicon Valley, Coco was an intern for the Chief Economic Advisor at the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. Coco holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
