Avoiding Employment Related Litigation

This workshop covers the potential pitfalls of employment issues and how these mistakes can lead to costly litigation.   Topics include the hiring process & avoiding discrimination; employee handbooks; wage and hour issues [including overtime and meal & rest breaks]; handling internal complaints; discipline & performance reviews; independent contractor vs. employee; and wrongful termination.

This workshop is presented by Morgan Glynn is an Associate Attorney at Kring and Chung LLP in Irvine, California.  Her primary practice area is Employment Law. 
 
Ms. Glynn specializes in litigating wage and hour, sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, and wrongful termination cases.  She has successfully secured both individual and class action settlements on behalf of her clients and has also litigated cases to trial.
 
Ms. Glynn is a graduate of the University of San Diego, School of Law. During law school, she served as Comments Editor for The San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law and was a member of the university’s Business Law Society. Ms. Glynn received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Minor in French. She also studied at the Institut d’Études Politiques (SciencesPo) in Paris, France, and completed the university’s international program.
