Speaker: Shirley T. Burke
If you’ve been to any of WOVEN’s Luncheons, you know that “helping women and their children fulfill their destiny of greatness” is WOVEN’s mission, and our luncheon speakers inspire us to do just that. The speaker for this March 9 luncheon epitomizes what that means. Her life has swung from the unimaginable pain of losing a child and beloved nephew on the same day, in the same incident, to unimaginable success. Just a few of her successes are as a speaker, author and multi-media contributor. At the age of 24, Shirley T was the youngest Community Action Program (CAP) Director in the United States. Later in her career, she founded the Esteem Institute as a platform to offer transformational programs, classes and workshops for personal and professional growth. At so many levels you will benefit and be inspired by this extraordinary speaker. She will also have her book Keepin’ It Real available as well.
