Spring Convention 2021

"Celebrate in Place"

This year NCA is celebrating our 50th year of supporting parents of multiples! The plan is to celebrate our 50th at the Fall Retreat this year.  In the meantime, for our Spring Convention, we will meet via ZOOM for a free event!  All registered ZOOM attendees will receive a goody bag by mail which will include a free prize drawing ticket for a chance to win something fun. ( please include an address that accepts packages and hold onto that ticket!)

Friday 4/16 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm:   BYOB Happy Hour Share Shop and Trivia game night. There will be prizes for the game winners!

Saturday 4/17, 9:00 am - 11:00 am:  General session ZOOM meeting:  All members are welcome to attend! This meeting will include an election of our 2021-2022 Executive Board, an announcment of scholarship winners, and the sharing of other important NCA news. Also, we can't have a meeting without giving away some prizes, so don't miss out! 

Saturday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Break Time:  This is the time to order lunch using the $20 Doordash gift certificate we will e-mail to you. This certificate will be discounted to $5 for the first 40 NCA members that register. Let's "celebrate in place" by ordering lunch together!

Saturday 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm:  Join together via ZOOM to have lunch while we listen to our guest Speaker, Brenda Roser. Brenda is the president of the Multiples of America. She will be sharing with us updates about the National Organization, National Convention plans and other exciting news!  Installation of our elected 2021-2022 Executive board and prize drawings will follow lunch.  Have your ticket ready to win some great prizes! 

  Saturday 2:00 pm -3:00 pm: Parenting workshop  "Unconditional Love & Conditional Consequences: Addressing your child's tough behavior while strengthening attachment." This class will be taught by Amanda Thompson, BCBA, LMFT. Amanda will explore common problem behaviors in young children as well as ways to increase meaningful interactions with your little ones.

Saturday 3:30 pm - 4:50 pm: Optional Craft project: Needle Felting. Sarah Del Buono, Sutter County MOM, will be facilitating a craft workshop, which will include a how-to-videoThe website to purchase your choice of two kits is  Sarafinafiberart.com.   More info about ordering this craft will be included on the registration page, as well as a follow up email sent to all planned participants.  

Saturday 5:00 pm - 5:15 pm:  We will all come back together on ZOOM one last time to hear the newly elected NCA President announce the 2021-2022 NCA chair positions!

For those that sign up for the craft - you will also be receiving a free burlap bag to fill with rice to use as a surface for your needle felting project! So don't delay.
