CCEMT-P is designed to prepare Paramedics and Nurses to function as members of a critical care transport team. Developed by UMBC, the program attempts to bridge the gap between pre-hospital and hospital care. The result is a specialized care provider with both understanding and ability to care for the critical patients during transport.
This course will begin on February 6, 2019 and continue on the C-shift based schedule until March 17, 2019. Students are required to sit through the course in it's entirety to qualify for the Final Exam.
Paramedic requirements: Recommended minimum of one (1) year as a paramedic and an active license.
Nurse requirements: Recommended minimum of one (1) year as a nurse and an active license.
An optional Cadaver Lab will be hosted during the course. This may be subject to change due to availability of the lab. If cancelled, the lab will be replaced with a CC Skill's Lab.
