Join us for this 10k military-style Ruck March to end Veteran homelessness on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2 p.m., at Presque Isle State Park, Beach 11. You'll complete our course carrying a loaded rucksack and will observe memorials honoring local fallen heroes along the way.
As a Ruck The Bay participant, you are encouraged to fill a rucksack or backpack with items to donate to EUMA's Liberty House, Erie's only transitional shelter for homeless Veteran men. Suggested items
include laundry detergent, trash bags, cleaning supplies, twin sheet sets, mens undergarments and socks, pillows, towels and washcloths, and coin collections. A donation drop-off station will be located at the Finish Line.
You can also raise additional funds for homeless Veterans by asking friends and family members to pledge to your ruck. Pledges can be made online in your name by clicking here.
Ruck The Bay is open to all military personnel and civilians.
Registration starts at 1 p.m. Ruck The Bay begins at 2 p.m.
Participation fee:
Pre-registraiton (until 9/25 with free event T-shirt):
- Pre-registration Individual: $30
- Pre-registration family/team of 4+: $25 each
Registration (9/26 through day-of event):
- Registration Individual: $35
- Registration Team of 4+: $30
Ruck The Bay T-shirts are only guaranteed with pre-registration.
