This workshop is for your family if you…
Mindful parenting is the hardest and most important job on the planet. Its about doing our best to show up to each moment with awareness and compassion and giving our children the precious gift of our presence. Erica Rayner-Horn
Both parents and children have a lot of stresses to deal with these days with our rushed and over-scheduled lives and it's easy to fall into patterns of tension, irritability and reactivity. It doesn't help that society highly values the workplace and its demands, and undervalues the crucial importance of bringing up our children in peaceful and mindful homes. As parents we do our best but often wish we had more capacity to deal with our own stress, and better skills to relate mindfully with both our children and our partners.
In this workshop children and adults will:
Please Note: the focus of the workshop is children and parents learning together- children must be accompanied by at least one adult familt member.
Cost: $40 per Family- Includes any number of children and adults in the same family. You can bring Grandma or any other family member connected to your child. NOTE: If the fee is a hardship please contact Erica for scholarship

About the Presenter:
Erica Rayner-Horn is a mindfulness-based psychotherapist; an instructor of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program; workshop leader and presenter. She is a member of the Community of Mindful Parenting, a trained Listening Mothers facilitator, has written for Seattle Child Magazine and presented at the Family Dharma Conference in Seattle. Erica has trained and practiced meditation extensively over more than 30 years in different traditions of Buddhism. As a mother of two she took her own children to family retreat with Thich Nhat Hahn and has led meditation groups for children and teenagers. From both a personal and a professional perspective she is passionate about bringing mindfulness into the lives of families- because it really makes a difference!
