A passionate fundraiser for more than 25 years, David is David is inspired by and learns from, donors, volunteers and leaders in the not-for-profit sector who rally together to make our community better.
David formed his own company, aptly named, LOVEfundraising in 2012. Prior to that, he was a Partner in a fundraising consulting firm in Vancouver. He consistently delivers strategic counsel to large and small non-profits in Canada and the US to ultimately improve their fundraising effectiveness.
As Vice-President, Campaign, for St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, David recently established their Campaign fundraising framework. In other roles, David has successfully stewarded campaigns and championed fund development for many leading organizations including UBC, the Justice Institute of BC and Central City Foundation.
A sought-after speaker and trainer, David has shared his enthusiasm for philanthropy with not-for-profits throughout the province and has been an instructor in the “Essentials of Fundraising” course at BCIT since 2001. For the past 23 years, he has been a singer with Chor Leoni Men’s Choir and has served on their Board and Fundraising Committee. A certified fundraising executive since 2009, David is proudly the President of the Vancouver Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
