Please join the San Joaquin County Office of Education's (SJCOE) County Operated Schools and Programs division for the Second Annual Chronic Absenteeism Summit on Thursday, August 13, 2020. 

The summit is a free, online event focused on bringing school districts, law enforcement, service providers, and community partners together to share best practices.  The summit aims to inspire us to take action as we work towards creating a positive attendance culture in our schools and communities.

Who should attend?  Teachers, counselors, community based organizations, the District Attorney's Office, Probation Department, law enforcement, school resource officers, student services staff, school office staff, school administrators, health services, mental health clinicians, and Child Protective Services.

8:30 a.m. Welcome

9:00 a.m. Trauma-Skilled Presentation

10:00 a.m. Breakout Sessions:  trauma-skilled practices, restorative circles, The Parent Project, school district best practices, human trafficking, and University of the Pacific's Beyond Our Gates program

12:30 p.m.  Lunch/Networking

1:30 p.m. Keynote Speaker, Jeremy Bates "The Hope Dealer"

3:00 p.m.   Virtual Giveaway and Closing
