Please join us in welcoming mixologist and author, Kirsten Amann. Enjoy a cocktail and a peek at her recently published book; Drinking Like Ladies, 75 Modern Cocktails from the World's Leading Female Bartenders.

Drinking Like Ladies is 'dedicated to preserving and honoring classic cocktails from pre-Prohibition and beyond, while celebrating the oft-forgotten ladies who sipped them'.  Both 'Kitty', as Kirsten is known and her co-author, Misty Kalkofen, are acclaimed bartenders in their own right & Bostonians, too! Not your typical cocktail book, this collection of cocktail recipes was sourced from equally acclaimed female bartenders, and 'pairs each tipple with a toast to a trailblazing lady'.                        

The Step by Step, made with Egan's Irish Whiskey.  was created by Dame Abigail Gullo, head bartender at  Compère Lapin in New Orleans. Ruby Nell Bridge s Hall,  was the first African American student to dsegregate public schools in Louisiana in 1960. and this cocktail was named for 'The Ruby Bridges Suite', a spoken word, musical and choir piece inspired by Ruby's courageus steps!

Books will be available for purchase during the event. Proceeds will be donated to Women United to benefit Strong from the Start.

This event is Free and open to the public, aged 21years and older!
Reservations are not required and you being female is not a requirement to enjoy the experience!
