Female entrepreneurs are rising. And as they ascend, they begin to have far reaching impacts both quantitatively and more importantly, qualitatively, in the new business landscape. According to a study presented at the Women 2.0 conference in San Francisco last year, women-led private companies are "more capital-efficient, achieve 35 percent higher return on investment, and, when venture-backed, bring in 12 percent higher revenue than male-owned tech companies".

These influential new women are rapidly re-shaping the contemporary gender story: nimbly writing an alternative account of women's creativity, self-efficacy, integrity and dedication while offering a strong counter-balance to the purely decorative female ideal of popular culture and the recent past.

To premiere SACC's Women's Sofa Talks series, we are very lucky to have engaged pioneering Scandinavian entrepreneurs - Charlotte Fors, Denise Persson and Silje Vallestad - to share their personal stories on what challenges they face on their roads to becoming accomplished women in a male-dominated tech-industry.

During a relaxed and informal Sofa Talks evening, these three dynamic Nordic businesswomen will take part in what promises to be a scintillating and inspired conversation describing the challenges women face in the new business environment while highlighting women's paths to leadership, examining the impact of women's social identities and scrutinizing women's struggles to balance work and home life.

Come and join us, sit back and sip a glass of wine on the exquisite BoConcept sofas and be inspired!
