SMPS ALASKA CHAPTER BOOTCAMP
Webinar - Competing Intelligently: Strategically Reinvent Your Firm and Marketing

Join us for the next session of our Bootcamp series on Wednesday, September 3! This session will feature a webinar covering competitive intelligence and how to dominate the competitive landscape.

In today’s competitive landscape, positioning is essential. We approach positioning from two interrelated perspectives—analytical research and strategic planning. Like essential gardening decisions of what and where to plant, we help marketers analyze their competitive landscape and determine the optimum strategic position. While virtually all firms and individual marketers consider their competitive position, far too often we find A/E/C firms are missing something in their strategic analyses, and often it’s something really big. That’s where competitive intelligence (CI) comes in—it’s an orchestrated process of deliberate research, logical analysis, and strategic decision-making. CI is just what you need to determine and dominate the competitive landscape.

About the Speaker: A. Krista Sykes, Ph.D., founder of Architecture In Context, provides competitive research and analysis for A/E/C professionals. A published author of books and journal articles, she has been involved with the design industry for 15 years.

Scott W. Braley, FAIA, FRSA, is the lead principal of Braley Consulting & Training based in Atlanta. An active veteran member of SMPS, Scott helps A/E/C firms in the areas of strategy, leadership, marketing, management, and project delivery. During his 30 years of private A/E/C practice, he was a highly successful “closer/doer” and served as managing principal in an ENR Top 40 firm.
