Join us for a presentation by Chris Kowalczewski, MPH, MArch - Director of Foraker Pre-Development Program. She will explain how and why The Foraker Group provides capital project planning assistance to non-profits, tribes and municipalities throughout Alaska, and opportunities for design firms to work with the Pre-Development Program.  

About the Speaker

Chris has lived in Alaska for over 40 years, much of that time in rural Alaska. She started her career here as a health care planner and administrator, working primarily with Alaska Native tribal organizations. A career change to architecture resulted in a new focus on the planning and design of health care facilities.  For ten years she worked as an independent consultant, providing project management services to non profit and tribal groups throughout Alaska.  During her ten years with The Foraker Group, she has worked on projects as diverse as libraries, substance abuse treatment facilities, and domestic violence shelters. Chris brings broad experience in project development and a commitment to sustainable design to her current role in helping nonprofits prepare for successful capital projects.
