Article 35: NYS Law on the Use of Deadly Force

This is Part 1 of a two part course.
You should register for only ONE Part 1 Class (offered 5/24/17 or 5/31/17).
You may also register for the Part 2 class (offered 6/24/17).

If you carry a firearm or have a firearm in your home for self-defense, you need to know your rights and obligations under NY State law with respect to the use of deadly force.

Article 35 ("Defense of Justification") of the Penal Law of the State of New York governs how necessity, justification and exculpation are applied in jurisprudence.

No firearms are allowed in the classroom.  Sidearm lockers are available to rent for $2@.
