North Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children Conference 

Join North Idaho AEYC for the 2015 Conference themed "Celebrating our Youngest Learners," October 15-17th at the Coeur d'Alene Resort.

This conference is for those that work with young children birth to age 8.  Workshops are diverse and are full of current information from the field.  Please see the detailed registration guide at www.idahoaeyc.org/affiliate_ni.php for information on each workshop.  You may choose the workshops you want to attend the day of the conference.

We have new a new event this year!  We will kick of the conference weekend with a special evening of networking, raffle prizes, food and fun.  Join us on Thursday, October 15th from 6-9:00 p.m. on the 7th floor of the Coeur d'Alene Resort.  Cash bar available.

Friday, October 16th, the Idaho Commission for Libraries presents, "Idaho Child Care Reads" from 6-9 p.m. at the Coeur d'Alene Resort.  This event is free and is approved for 3 IdahoSTARS training hours.  To register, please go to www.evenbrite/e/idaho-child-care-reads-tickets-17657925330.  This event is open to Idaho providers only and to the first 50 participants.

Saturday, October 17th is the all-day North Idaho AEYC Conference.  This year's keynote presenter is Dr. Carol Lindsay.  Her presentation, "Why is Classroom Discipline so Darned Hard?  What Children and Adults Bring to the Challenge of Behavior Guidance" will kick off the conference.  Pick from a variety of high quality sessions throughout the day.  The conference goes from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is worth 7 hours of IdahoSTARS or Washington MERIT training.  1 CEU is available through the University of Idaho College of Family and Consumer Science and is an additional $40.  Participants can pay for the CEU by check or credit card the day of the conference.  Light breakfast and lunch provided.
