Montana Fire Trustees Association Membership 

The Montana Fire Trustees Association (MFTA) is the recognized source of administrative education for Rural Fire District and Fire Service Area Trustees. We provide the opportunity to form a statewide network of fellow trustees which provides improved information flow between trustees.

It is important to have a good working relationship between fire chiefs, county commissioners, and trustees, and together we can continue to be a strong presence in the Montana fire service community.

MFTA Membership is for Montana Rural Fire Districts & Fire Service Areas; all trustees are considered active members and receive all MFTA membership benefits. Dues are based on annual operating budget, not including grants, bond issues, debt payments, capital outlay or capital improvements. 

Annual Budget/Dues

• $0 to $50,000 = $50
• $50,001 to $100,000 = $100
• $100,001 to $250,000 = $250
• $250,001 and over = $500
