Johnna Reeder is vice president of community relations and economic
development for Duke Energy Ohio and Duke Energy Kentucky. She
was named to her current position in December 2009.
Reeder has extensive community relations, economic development and
charitable foundation experience. She has directed a chamber of
commerce and downtown development corporation in Tennessee, both
receiving state and national awards and accolades. She also led
community relations, government affairs and foundation giving for
Citigroup Inc. in their operating states of Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.
Reeder joined Duke Energy in 2008 to lead regional communications
and external affairs for Duke Energy Ohio and Duke Energy Kentucky.
She is extremely active in community and service organizations, currently serving on the Cincinnati Partnership USA Economic Development Board, the Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation and the United Way of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Reeder is a 2011 Top 20 Women to Watch receipient from the Cincinnati Enquirer, a 2010 Next
Generation Leader Award receipient, the 2008 Emerging Outstanding Woman of Northern Kentucky winner, a past Chairman's Leadership Award recipient for Citi Cards – North America and a Citigroup Quality Excellence Award winner. Some of her other honors include the Cincinnati Business Courier's 40 Under 40 Award, the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati’s Rising Star Award and the Imagine Tomorrow Award from Children Inc.
She was also appointed by former Governor Ernie Fletcher to serve on the Kentucky Community
and Technical College System Board of Regents from 2005 to 2011.
Reeder graduated magna cum laude from Thomas More College with a master’s degree in
business administration. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and a minor in English from the University of Memphis.
