Historic Composite
Unveiling and Afterglow
Two historic Bench-Bar photo composites, one discovered by the Court and the other by the Detroit Bar Association, have been restored and are now hanging on the wall adjacent to the Court elevators in the Coleman A. Young Municipal Building. Please join us for their unveiling on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Gather in the court lobby, near the elevators.
Inspired by this photographic collection of our predecessors in the practice of law, the Detroit Bar Association has commissioned a 2016-2017 composite similar in format to the historic pieces. We encourage you to become a part of this moment in the legal history of our great city. Please see below to reserve a portrait sitting.
We look forward to seeing our esteemed Bench-Bar colleagues enshrined on the wall of the Wayne County courthouse for years to come.
The unveiling will be followed by an informal afterglow at the Cigar Bar of the London Chop House at 5 pm.
