AFMC Deliberate Planning – Powering the World’s Greatest Air Force

AFMC Servicing MAJCOM support to the United States Space Force

 

         

We are very pleased to announce that Colonel John R. LaPore, HQ AFMC/A4/A10, will be our speaker at the 27 January 2022 (Thursday) DPAAS meeting, 11:30-1:30 pm, 2800 Presidential Drive, Holiday Inn, Fairborn, Ohio. John will discuss AFMC Servicing MAJCOM support to the United States Space Force”.

Abstract:  Presentation will provide a brief overview of the Space Force mission and organization structure and then discuss the SECAF’s designation of AFMC as the “Servicing MAJCOM”, a non-doctrinal term, for Airmen serving in the Mission Support and Medical Group units at Space Force Installations.  The briefing will also discuss the impacts to Airmen and the timeline for AFMC to achieve Full Operational Capability.

 

Colonel John R. LaPore is the Deputy Director of Logistics, Civil Engineering, Force Protection and Nuclear Integration, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, WPAFB, Ohio. He advises the Director in the direction of policy and procedures for field and depot-level aircraft and commodities maintenance, nuclear weapon systems sustainment, software engineering, conventional munitions, logistics plans, transportation, supply chain operations and management, civil engineering, force protection and logistics information technology activities. He advises the lead command integrator for life-cycle sustainment, product support and acquisition logistics across the Air Force weapon systems portfolio.

 

Colonel LaPore is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and as a career logistician has held various positions at base level, center level, major command, joint command, and air staff. Prior to this assignment, he served as Director of Logistics, Joint Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Colonel LaPore earned his commission in 1990 through the Air Force ROTC program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida.
